- Your consultation registers you with BjK Seniors Advocate as your information source.
- Provide referrals for public or private assessment.
- Refer quality care givers, companions and all other supports you might require.
- Referrals to lawyers, accountants, financial advisors in your neighbourhood where possible.
- Ease your stress of looking for the best place to live. Public or private, we create a short list of accomodations that will suite you; we schedule tours and accompany you if you wish. You make choices while you are still capable.
- Ensure personal appointments are kept and followed through from start to finish.
- Help with organizing documents and completing forms.
- If family is unavailable to visit, our goal is that your overall health and well being is maintained; you're well cared for and comfortable; aides such as hearing devices and walkers and wheelchairs are working properly.
- We visit as a companion to observe and liaise. As helpful ears and eyes we support you the resident and staff alike. We are a gentle voice on your behalf ensuring awareness that someone is looking out for you — helping maintain your identity.
